that engine is all built up and being fitted tomorrow neil (for mallory park on Saturday) this is just for reference purpose,s for you guy,sIs this for the low comp turbo thing, with pistons 4mm below the deck?

thought i,d try it i always used gungum on the N/A mani,s, but the tubby always blew it out after a while i hav,nt heard any blows yet (3 or 4 weeks) but i,ll be able to check how well they sealed when i take it off tomorrowPaper? xD!
I did buy an actual gasket for the head to mani I wouldn't trust just instant gasket!

The 421 was nice just because I had one but personally it wasn't worth my time or effort for such little gain.

Indeed. Lack of pressure when starting, but it's more audible inside the car with the 4-2-1 and decat, I know it sounds mad.

mine got worse over time might not have anything to do with exhaust might just be coincidenceWithout a doubt. Always had a noisy chain and it's slowly got worse.
But you never used to be able to hear it rattle on start up with a standard exhaust.
When I fitted the 4-2-1 it was noticeably loud inside the car, I guess resonation and as Enuo said, too rigid.
