Hi guys,
So after taking our 1996 Micra on 26000km to Mongolia and back on Mongol Rally 18, I'm planning to shine it up and put a bit of kick in it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/1eoujYT3sFmySdRCA
I'm hoping to get some advice on the plan off people here!

1. Replacing CG10 with CG13, keeping original CG10 gearbox
2. Custom plenum fitted to chopped stock inlet manifold. Two CG13 stock throttle bodies top entry to plenum. (Maf may be an issue here. Can an inline maf be used in intake before TBs?)
3. Lightened flywheel 6kg >3.5/4kg
4. Ta Teknix coilovers
5. 15" gold Super RS
6. Quick release clamps on roof rack
7. Custom built bomber seat
8. Momo wheel

A lot of the decisions come down to budget and a lack of GA16s available in Ireland. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Ah sound. Crackin site that is. Been on to autostyling they are doing 25% off JR wheels next week so saving over 100 quid delighted. Aye that'd be a good buzz once I get her set up

So my current set up is a facelift CG10 Gearbox. I sliced the bottom off it somewhere in Tajikistan and would be keen on replacing it while doing the CG13 swap (from facelift)
However I'm looking to keep the gears from the 1ltr to keep it responsive. The plan is to take the 1ltr gears themselves out of their housing and put them in the new one from the CG13. Hopefully this will be a straight swap with not too much to it.

Got these old mounts out of my doner and cast a polyurethane mix. They are a lot harder that originals and will be a nice addition for a 1/3 of the price of aftermarket mounts. Will be putting these in with the new engine.

Time to get back to this. Ill be making a adjustable Panhard rod today to center that axle its about 3 inches to the right at the moment. Also today I'll be getting the 1.3 ECU to properly test out the the new engine.
