garage told me my car needs loads doing to pass MOT. bout £350 before it has MOT. It aint even worth that much. Needs cv, welding sills, rear brake pipes....................is it worth doin it or do i buy another micra or..........Mileage is nearly 150,000, still drives fine though.

if you can afford it, my advise would be to get a newer one. from my expirience, a car gets to a point where it just keeps drinking your money, you can get pretty decent micras for £600. just look for one that has been had by an old couple for years.

can't u do any of the work yourself? I changed both my cv joints in a few hours, rear brake pipes shouldn't be too difficult, then its just the welding.

the missus took it i to her local mechanic who i reckon rips us off anyway.........he put the CV joint on the wrong side last time!! shes paying so i cant complain i suppose. she's ok'd it now anyway. No car and i am back at uni tomorrow!!
