Fitting seats from another make of car

My driver seat is falling apart, can I take nice leather seat from a Jag, BMW, Audi etc. from the scrappie?

Put what you like in if it fits, or can be made to fit.
Would have to be a similar sized seat though I would think.
Jaguar, BMW, Audi, a bit on the large side possibly.

From what I've gleaned most seats will need a bit of work to fit - or the car itself will need work to make them fit. Not aware of any straight swaps.

Am I right in thinking Almera seats go in with only a bit of fabrication...?

The Almera seats line up three bolt holes yeah, just need a flat piece of metal with a hole to reach the fourth one

If you're only getting seats from the scrappy, you might as well just get a new set of Micra seats! That'd be a relatively simple swap, I bet.

Seriously though, let us know how the swap goes. Someone else on here tried to swap a set of leather Primera seats into his Micra, and they turned out to be so ludicrously oversized that he couldn't properly operate his gear stick. I want to see if you have any better luck, and what you did to make it work in the end.

I measured the width of these seats, only a few mil wider so should be ok, I hope anyway haha
