an open thread?

The amount of threads that go off topic and get locked is quite a lot. However, they do normally drift onto interesting topics.

So I was thinking, could there be a thread that's open for any topic? that just drifts between topics?

Good idea. On Ecossecruise, they have a "7 Days" section. Where basically someone just starts a thread for that day and people go in and just talk about things, then it gets locked at night. A new one is then started.

Ye, non-car chat is basically anything so if a topic changes does it really matter, I do hate it when a car thread changes cause it makes searching harder but who actually searches for some inthe non-car chat?

Like the idea of a time limited section
