Hmmm. I've been an idiot. While building the engine back up after changing the head gasket I wasn't convinced the upper chain was on correctly after I refitted everything. So...I turned it over by hand until I was reassured the marking lined up. However, i'm not convinced I put it back to TDC...

I'm using the Daewoo Matiz Rear Springs to replace the Front Springs, and cut 2 coils off the Rear Micra Springs iirc. You need to use Corsa B Rear Shock Absorbers to keep the cut in place.

Just another curiosity, i see you have a vacuum take off for the brake servo on only one cylinder. Does this matter? On my throttle bodies i have a take off at each for the fuel rail vacuums. Always wondered does one make a difference to the four. Hmmm! Thoughts!?

Yeah mate, good advice that...i've had that problem with my throttle bodies already! :( There's also a power steering thing in the way of mine in think. Had my TB's in my white micra and i moved them to my red micra i was like WTF!?!?!? All sorted though. That's another immensely neat manifold...

Just a question on this topic, my linkage is loose as a loose thing, and makes a desperate rattle side to side. I might take a look at these springs. I know for my mazda there is a kit of bearings and springs or whatever to replace these...does such a thing exist for the micra?
