Someone may know better as I've never removed the sump in situ always had the engine out, but I don't think it will come past the exhaust. You have to lower the sump straight down quite a way 80ishmm at a guess from memory to clear the big end bearing cap. Obvs never really take a proper photo...

If your car is as gutted as you imply it's easy to get out! There's 4 little nuts on each corner, from studs off the bulkhead and then the two water hoses. Can't imagine needing a step by step guide!? Stupidly I welded in the cage before removing it, so I had to cut the studs off too.
