I guess it depends on the tax bands. For example, a Micra is currently £79.75 for 6-months but will become £12.69 per month which will be £76.14 for 6-month, £3.61 cheaper and payable in installments. The amount Government fee added for monthly payment is going to be 5% were as it is a 10%...

If tax is due after 1 November then you should be able to pay monthly:)

Ya. The facelift ones do but mines pre-facelift so needs the later motor:)

Changed the motor for the rear wiper today from this to this: Which I reckon is much better look! :)

From experience with other makes of car a stuck (open) thermostat would be the common answer or faulty sensor

From what I've read here, yes it's a straight swap :). Re the mk2 thing I've seen facelift often referred to as mk2 and also on eBay too. This may be incorrect - perhaps someone could confirm. New to the whole micra scene but having fun so far

bought a mk2 k11 rear wiper motor so the blade parks down and not pointing skywards - I just think it looks better! :)

I read the blue relay is common(ish) failure, and can be swapped for the one next to it (care that the connecions are the same). I had to do this on mine too. Now it car is up and runing ok you have, of course, put a duff relay in to the other circuit so my advice would be to replace the blue...

At the front I assume? I read a few of these rust out, and yes, it can be replaced (mine's had it done just before the 2013 MOT) but make sure you find out how much and get the sale price reduced by the cost and some more for your trouble! Or go find another one.....

Great thread - am looking to do a few mods and the rear wiper is defo one of them, as is the ciggy lighter (to use a phone charger, and as aux power). Keep the posts coming! :)
