I have seen ones in the UK with the which are 82 and branded as nissan. Datsun started the swap over in the early80s/later 70s. So some were datsun and some were nissan for some reason. Wasnt until mid 80s where all cars were nissan. Also if you want to go really old in 1979 they made a prototype.

dont turbo carbs, search the forum mate. Its too much effort to explain how to turbo a car. its alot of work and money

Look good azzy. When clearing gaskets off with blades make sure its a flat one and a new one to prevent scratching the surface. Also looks like you used plenty of sealant on that sump eh. Lets hope it hasnt been pushed out and protruding into the engine...

I presume you are on about porks bike carbed turbo? K10s are different from k11s mate so not point comparing. K10s came with carbs from factories, the turbo marchs/micras came with the eccs throttle bodies all turbo nissans had in the late 80s... Is there a power target you are after. I...

Ahh I see your giggle pin is loose mate ;). get a new stanly blade on the two surfaces ie the sump and block to give it a good clean up to make sure it will have a good seal next time. Looks messy from what I can see.

If your having to ask simply questions like that mate I wouldnt bother. Everyone who says bike carbs are budget and cheap is lying. They cost alot to set up, to fit (if you can make a manifold yourself), getting right equipment. I dont see the point as well in putting carbs on an injection...

Condensation most likely mate unless you have a gasket issue somewhere which is causing oil to be mixed with water. Could even be from the engine being sat so long or when you had the engine sitting ready to go in?
