My dad thinks that it's the clutch release bearing, as the noise only happens when you depress the cluch (which is when the bearing is under pressure) ....apparently ;)

I don't know for sure but for the k12 the Haynes manual says to take out the glovebox but it's not true, hopefully this is the case with the k13 and you can just reach up behind the centre console to swap it?
