    Dot the big bottomed C+C

I know it's it's silly little touch and I know it's fake carbon and that's just sad. But it's also the hardest wearing vinyl in terms of not looking scratched and it's a bit of protection against long nails (and hides the lack of protection from the past 15 years). I also happened to have a half...

    Wet boot

I felt the need to go and have a look, I have a few cars to look after and could have been confusing it with another. Glad I did. It's a neoprene seal, 5mm thick. Not attached to the cluster is easy enough to replace. Noidea if you can buy them, but you can cut your own without any real issues.

    Wet boot

first you need to diagnose the problem correctly. remove the boot liner/carpet. dry the panels completly. sprinkler talc over all the panels. close boot and spray with hose or wait for it to rain. look for the streaks in the talc to figure out where the water is coming from. if it's the...

    Tidied up the engine bay

oh goody, stainless in an aluminium block. just add heat and water. there is a reason they aren't stainless from the factory, galvanic corrosion is very real and not very easy to deal with. PO of my bike decided stainless exhaust bolts was a good idea. I've now replaced them, along with thread...

    Aircon problem please help.

splitting the air flow in this way is difficult as the blower has a vane (air mixer door apparantly) which changes the routing in the air box from the warm air heat exchanger to the cold air exchanger as a single unit rather than being split to either side. for it to be doing what it is doing...

    K12 Bike Rack recommendations plz

everybody I ride with bangs on about Saris racks, especially the bones. Way to pricy for my blood and I'm still on the 15 quid jobby I bought 20 years ago in halfrauds for when I absolutly have to carry the bike outside the car :)(which is always now, thanks to the lack of space in a C+C), so...

    Dot the big bottomed C+C

working on a new part. Thing number 2 complained of hair being blown about, so time for a wind break for between the seats. I have 4 little joining strips to print and I need to find 2 more velco loops, but you get the idea. I will at some point put a netting across it, but for now we shall see...

    Air induction kit.

I didn't notice I'd slipped in the K11 section, sorry for the intrusion, I must have hit the new posts button. still, an interesting conversation to be had so if you don't mind the new fangled K12 driver sticking his oar in for a few moments more. Seat of the pants dyno has always been a thing...

    Air induction kit.

depends why you are fitting it. if it's to get more power, then nope, if anything you may be reducing the power (and a 1.0 seems like that's a bad idea). air in+fuel in+gases out, if you don't do all three right, you don't get good power you get no power. you'll also be taking used, warm air...

Other side done and brake fluid changed out. Brakes still get a bit woolie, so vacuum checks next before pulling the rear drums off to check the adjusters are free and working. They work fine and pull up OK they just lack bite.

How many males drive the convertible

This one does. Screw em, if my car defines my masculinity then society is more screwed than I thought. I don't get paranoid, I have a blast in it. If its sunny, the roofs down, normally playing some metal or other at stupid volume.

    Hi

hi. I'd be worried about the rubber bits, otherwise it should be sound as a pound. :) be great to see some pictures, see what corrosion on a well kept car looks like. :)

random stuff I've changed or fixed since having. - number plate, the back one looked like it had been underwater for 50 years. now on plastic screws, with hole through metal correctly sealed. - fuel cap loop (The bit that stops it going missing) I printed a new one in TPU. - fuel flap lock, it...
