Multi meter in 12 volt setting with red on signal wire and black to ground

I'm guessing the stalling is MAF or IACV related. This battery business seems like a red herring if the car turns over and starts (but then dies). I would check your MAF readouts like I said before mate :) back probe the MAF signal and let us know what it reads whilst someone revs the engine :)

I would check maf wires and output signal. Should go from around 0.5 volt at no load to 4.5 at full load.

Your maf working properly? What map is on the nistune?
