My mate welded pieces of sill from my donor car. Worked perfect having the same profile/shape only difference was the donor car's sill was made of thicker metal due to being a 1st facelift! B-)

Yesterday I applied another coat of paint to the entire nearside sill and also finished filling and zinc primed the welded patch on the drivers side! B-)

Thanks mate I love tinkering with the SR it's going to be a long project but I only paid £125 for her! B-)

Was not happy with some very small blemishes so re- filled with more P38 then used wet/dry paper to sand down and then applied another coat of paint looks better now! B-)

Hi mate not sure on the cost of a new sill I "rubbed" the sills off my poor donor car they were like new and my mate welded them in! Fellow member bls might know I think he bought new sills? Donor car without it's sill! :-(
