I am trying an even lighter battery option in the ZR at the moment, one of these which is even lighter and cheap. If it works on the ZR I will fit one to the Micra as well...

Read my blog (car specs) to see what we run, engine made 126bhp when mapped by Fusion Motorsport. That was old engine which was standard used bottom end, so new/current engine should be about 130bhp. Running the 4.92 final drive makes a real difference and worth it. http://www.mattendean.co.uk/

AutoX you won't find any apart from in the South West, Autotests on grass you will find lots run by 7OaksMC, Maidstone & Mid Kent Car Club and others.

Yep to be fair the porting is not the only mods, so it has Matt H spec rally cams, high compression ratio, Grp. A exhaust manifold, Grp. A airbox, 1.6 injectors and remapped by Fusion Motorsport.

Great work, makes me feel happy with the 126bhp, with standard inlet manifold and ported head (Fusion Motorsport / Surrey Rolling Road figures).

Remove the hub nut cover, remove hub nut (will be bloody tight), then to remove the hub just pull it off. You may need a hub puller, but I have always found you can just pull them off.

Simple answer is no, I suspect you could probably make it fit if you tried hard enough but why? Plenty of Micras get scrapped, so get one from a scrap yard or ebay.

Thinking aloud here, could running a smaller dia. TB shift the torque charateristics? i.e. shift it down the rev range?

It was for interest reading, I didn't say it fully applied to Micras which as you say would have been tuned to a price more than performance. But given some of us have found little to no gains from using an increased TB size it is interesting reading. I suspect the reason for the standard TB...

Ours was mapped for the GA15 TB, given the inlet manifold is the real restriction on air flow it may be that there is little be gained by the wider TB?

I had to swap back to the standard TB a while back due to a MAF fault with the GA15 TB, and have now kept it on. From feel it is just as powerful, but a smoother and nicer drive. Doubt I will go back to a GA15 TB now....
