Washing advice car wash or by hand and scratching issues?

I could go on and on about 2 bucket methods and crazy stuff that people think is needed but for a basic clean that's all. It's a good time to inspect stuff as far as I'm concerned. O do like a clean car though.

Washing advice car wash or by hand and scratching issues?

Wash your car, it's half hour and it helps you spot problems like rust in the arches or wobbly bits. Get a bucket, get a noodle (not a sponge), and get some soap. Get an old t shirt to dry it after your done. Rinse with a hose pipe first to knock b off the big bits. Do not do you noodle and...

    Heater problem

couple of options but I'd check to make sure the flaps are moving correctly in the heater box, you can see them through the pollen filter housing and there is also a tell tale (I think) on the side of the box.

Micra k12 2006 steering wheel issue

find the next size up of torque bit and tap in to the screw with a hammer then undo (carefully). if that fails it's on to the next least destructive, try the same with a hex key. after that it's cutting a slot across the screw to undo it with a big ass screwdriver then it's time to break out...

    Android Auto

the micra steering wheel controls are 3 wire (1 common 2 sensor). I haven't put one in yet but I think an additional resistor on one wire to change the return voltage to the head unit should allow the sensor wires to be connected and work as a two wire system assuming the headunit you get has a...

    automatic gearbox gear changes

Sorry i don't have an auto and hated working on them so much i used to point them to a local gearbox place. ATF change is a good start, it can present as you describe when low or worn out. 2.5k isn't to far off too be fair.

Low fuel light issues, not staying on?

the sensor is a float in the tank. if you park on a hill, the fuel can sit lower front to back (or side to side) and let the float sit low (only happens on a fairly tank like you describe). mine usually does it when I'm sat on the up slope of the slip road for home after a long journey that's...

    Rear defogger issue

clean the metal strip on the glass and the contact. apply some flux and then solder it back on. personally I'd use a solder paste and a heat gun but it could be done with a soldering iron.

K12 Micra seats and steering wheel

hi Nuki Because of things like air bags in the steering wheel and seats you are a bit restricted on direct swaps. If you are happy to not have the airbag then an aftermarket wheel from Momo or similar will fit with the right adapter. Personally I'd buy a piece of nice leather and stitch it on...

    Washer jets spraying roof?

5 litres is on par with my partners usage, but it does seem a bit high. :) the jets get blocked. no real reason for it, they just do, mainly because of salts and minerals in the water we use but you can be damned sure I'm not about to use deminerialised water.

    2005 K12 1.2 heater matrix bypass

not sure, so this is only semi useful, but from a quick look (my hands they are to big to reach) they appear to be 20mm id. so a bit of 22mm copper should see you right for a journey home.
